We do not receive or store your payment card details; these are handled entirely by Apple or Google.

We automatically collect information about how you use the App:

• Reading progress and history
• Time spent in the App
• Device information (device type, OS version)
• App performance and crash data

We store your interactions with the App:

• Story choices and preferences
• Reading progress and saved stories
• Bookmarked content

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the App's functionality
• Personalize your story experience based on your choices
• Improve and optimize the App experience
• Send important updates about the App
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information only in the following circumstances:

• Service Providers: With third-party vendors who help us operate the App, including hosting (Supabase), authentication (Supabase, Apple, Google), and subscription management (Adapty). Adapty receives your user ID and subscription transaction data to manage and verify your premium access.
• Legal Requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect our rights
• Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, sale, or acquisition of our company
• With Your Consent: When you explicitly authorize us to share information

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your information, including:

7. Children's Privacy

Worldly is designed for children. Accounts must be created by an adult, who may then set up profiles for children. By setting up a child's profile, the parent or guardian consents to our collecting the following information from that child's use of the App:

• The profile name and avatar chosen by the parent
• Reading settings, progress, bookmarks, and story ratings
• Game activity, including words typed into games
• The usage and device information described in Section 2

We use this information only to operate and improve the App. We do not sell children's information or share it except with the service providers described in Section 4.

A parent or guardian may review or delete their child's information, or stop further collection, by contacting us (see Section 12) or by deleting the account in the App.

8. International Users

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your information to the United States and other countries where we operate.

9. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. When you delete your account, we will delete your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.

10. Advertising and Tracking

The App does not show ads. On iOS, the App does not include third-party advertising or analytics services. On Android, we use Google Firebase to measure app installs and sign-ups from our advertising campaigns.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
