Captain Theo's Star Map
About
Theo is seven and pilots the Whisper, a wooden-and-brass starship the size of a treehouse. With Bolt, a chatty pocket-sized robot copilot whose red antenna blinks when he speaks, Theo charts the wonders that grown-ups only point at from far away: comets, ring planets, sky-bears made of stars. Some nights the Whisper's porthole opens onto something nobody on Earth has ever seen up close.

1. Captain Theo and the Star Bear
Captain Theo and his copilot Bolt fly the Whisper up past the moon and meet a giant bear made of starlight. The Star Bear leads them to a hidden den where tiny stars drift like fireflies.
2. Captain Theo and the Rings of Saturn
Theo and Bolt fly the Whisper close to Saturn to find out what its bright rings are made of. Inside the sparkling bands, they discover the rings are made of millions of pieces of ice — some as small as sand, some as big as a school bus — and Bolt scoops one tiny piece into a jar to bring home.
3. Captain Theo and the Comet's Tail
Theo and Bolt fly the Whisper into the bright tail of a comet and race it on its long sweep past the sun.
4. Captain Theo and the Crystal Asteroid
Theo and Bolt land on a tiny green asteroid in the belt. The strange crystal trees there are not just rocks. They sing.
5. Captain Theo and the Two Suns
Theo and Bolt fly farther than ever before to a planet warmed by two suns. There they meet Sura, an alien kid who watches the sky just like Theo does.
6. Captain Theo and the Moon Garden
Theo and Bolt pilot the Whisper to the far side of the moon and meet Lun, a tiny moon creature with one precious seed. Together they plant the very first garden in lunar soil.
