Getting Started
How do I start reading?
Once you download the Worldly app and create an account (or sign in as a guest), you can browse the story library from the home screen. Tap any story to start reading. Your progress is automatically saved, so you can pick up where you left off anytime.
What age is Worldly appropriate for?
Worldly is designed for young readers, typically grades 2-8 (ages 7-14). Each story is tagged with a grade level range to help you find age-appropriate content. We offer the same classics adapted for different reading levels.
Account & Settings
Do I need an account?
You can browse and read stories without an account, but creating a free account lets you:
- Save your reading progress across devices
- Bookmark favorite stories
- Customize reading preferences (font, text size)
- Track which stories you've completed
How do I customize my reading experience?
Open any story and tap the settings icon to adjust:
- Font family (choose from several reading-friendly fonts)
- Text size (make text larger or smaller)
- Theme (light or dark mode)
Your preferences are saved and apply to all stories.
How do I delete my account and data?
You can request account deletion through the app settings, or visit our data deletion page for instructions. This will permanently remove all your account data, including reading progress and preferences.
Stories & Content
How many stories are available?
We currently offer 20+ stories, including adapted classics like Alice in Wonderland, Twenty Thousand Leagues, and The Monkey King, plus originals like Squad 66. We're regularly adding new stories and expanding existing ones.
Are the stories safe for kids?
Yes. All content is carefully reviewed and rated for appropriate grade levels. Worldly has:
- No ads
- No social features or chat
- No user-generated content from other readers
- Age-appropriate adaptations of classic literature
Technical Support
What devices are supported?
Worldly is available on:
- iOS devices (iPhone and iPad) running iOS 13 or later
- Android devices running Android 6.0 or later
The app isn't loading or stories won't open
Try these troubleshooting steps:
- Check your internet connection
- Force close and restart the app
- Make sure you have the latest version of the app
- Restart your device
- If issues persist, contact support with details about your device and the problem
My reading progress was lost
Reading progress is saved automatically if you have an account and are signed in. If you're reading as a guest, progress is only saved locally on your device. Make sure you're signed in to sync progress across devices.
I found a typo or error in a story
We appreciate reports of typos or errors! Please email us at support@readworldly.com with the story name and a description of the error, and we'll fix it promptly.
